Planet ComiCon August 2021

I had been nervous about a large in-person event, but there was a mask mandate in place, and I felt good with that plus being vaccinated.  The crowds were decent.  Everyone (I think) had a really good time visiting all the merchants, artists, and creators.  I found Jeremy Haun on Sunday to get my issues of The Realm signed and we talked about his new Kickstarter, Hauntology (very excited about this creation).  I only went to the two Supernatural panels - not many panels this year either.

I was so giddy to be back at a ComiCon and see everyone and everything.

Friday:  I did my Blood Red Queen cosplay

Saturday I did my main Steampunk outfit

Sunday I did my paired down Poison Ivy because it was so hot outside

Current Props I'm working on for 2021

Halloween is mixed in there with TeslaCon props but they become intertwined anyway.  Making one more waxed map for Pirate Halloween this year, and finishing up a book nook diorama before moving on to other props.

Elite Comic's little comic convention on May 1 2021

It was a convention throwback to 2001.  But with pie.     Held at the Overland Park Convention Center.  Nostalgia mixed with being so happy to see a convention and people and cosplays after a year and a half of lockdown.

Steampunk Weekend at Wichita Cowtown Museum

May 23rd 2021
Steampunk Weekend at Cowtown Museum in Wichita KS was not what I expected, but then, I didn't know what to expect.  It is a beautifully cultivated series of old homes/buildings, brought together, and fully staged to appear occupied.  I think the Salon might have been my favorite - and the Saperilla had quite a bit to do with that.  The staged shootout, featured twice, was a fun little sketch featuring a Sheriff verses a Dirigible gang and a bank robbery.
