These earrings are actually inspired by my Farmer's Market Broccoli. I was cutting up some stems and florets from a just purchased bouquet for a yummy lunch and I was struck by how interesting the fresh cut stems looked and I rushed up to my studio to make molds of these fascinatingly grouped cut stems before they started to dry out. So that's the story of how these futuristic, abstract shapes came to be.

These earrings are made out of polymer clay, which I have been working with quite a bit. It is a compound full of versatility and it's colorful range are inspiring. I can create colors, paint on the surface; pretty much do whatever I want and they are extremely lightweight.

I wanted these guys to be bright and happy, so I decided on yellows and then highlighted the ridges with copper paint.

The end piece is full of swing and bounce to match it's sunny nature.

They will hang about 2.5 inches and will come with rubber stops to push up on the ends of the ear hooks. When pushed all the way up, you never have to worry that the earring is dangling out of place or falling out!

I ship USPS Priority so my small package doesn't get lost in the mail.

If you have any questions about the piece, please convo me!
